Does anyone read blogs anymore?

Hello! Welcome to my blog.

I’m writing this blog anonymously, so I’ll be going by the name May. Why? Because the internet is scary and I don’t think I can fully be myself unless I write anonymously, and if I can’t be myself, what’s the point? That’s partly the problem with the internet!

I’m starting this blog now because I’m just about to leave college, and therefore British education, forever. I’ve had a very difficult year both personally and in my college life, so I thought it would be a good idea to create somewhere I can share my experiences as well as help myself, like an online diary. If I’m honest, I’m not expecting anyone to read this because does anyone even read blogs anymore? I really enjoy writing though and now that I am not in college I will have a lot of time for it. One day I hope to have the confidence to start a youtube channel, although I almost feel as though I’ve missed the wave; everyone’s doing it now!

You may be wondering why I chose the name ‘May, June, July’ for my blog. Firstly, it’s a sort of play on words on my name, but secondly because I decided in May that I was going to start a blog! (Yes, it’s taken me a month to start) I also just love the summery months a lot, so it made sense to centre my blog on them. Obviously, I won’t only be blogging in these months, if anything I will have more to say about certain things in the winter months (also, Christmas).

SO what can you expect from this blog? I’m very passionate about self care and mental health issues, so I will be writing a lot about that, whether it be my own struggles and experiences, ways of coping or my thoughts on current issues. I also love to document my favourite days, I’m always taking photos and videos so expect lots of that, and recommendations for places to visit! I guess it’s hard for me to say exactly what I will be writing about, it will be whatever crops up or what I’m feeling particularly passionate about. Maybe even some personal dilemmas I’m having, that’s the beauty of being anonymous!
